
MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — Christian Brothers Automotive is partnering with The Hub Garage in raising money to help single Moms pay for Automotive repairs, according to a recent news release.
The Hub Garage, a nonprofit organization dedicated to repairing cars for single moms at no cost, announced on Wednesday it will be taking its one-of-a-kind car, made entirely out of coffee cups, on tour to seven states. The cup car was created to generate awareness for the millions of single moms nationwide who need reliable transportation to provide for themselves and their families.
The "cup car" will be at the Christian Brothers Automotive in South Meridian at 87 E. Calderwood from May 31 to June 3.
On Friday, June 2, Kevin Miller of KDIO will be doing a live broadcast from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. to create awareness. Anyone can take a picture with the cup car and donate on-site as well. Kevin is also giving away 50 tickets to the Boise Music Festival, but you will need to be at Christian Brothers Automotive during the broadcast to get your tickets.
