I was trying to find information about DHL address reroute, but couldn’t find much online.
I had my December Ami Ami order set to ship to my family home so it wouldn’t sit at my college residence for weeks, but because they dragged their feet to ship it as usual, it’ll arrive after I go back to college. I filled out the form to have it rerouted, but I was wondering if anyone had experience with it? I’m concerned that my package could be lost. It also doesn’t allow delivery without signature for an address reroute, which could be problematic for me since I could be in class when it arrives- DHL shows up whenever they feel like it in my city. I’m fine with having delivery without signature sit for a few hours, I just didn’t want it to sit for potentially weeks.
I could still have it delivered to the family home and go to pick it up (it’s not an insanely long drive and chances are that I’ll be there to grab something random I forgot anyway) or pick it up from my father, who commutes to a job near my college, but to be completely honest I’m lazy and my city is expecting a freeze that makes me hesitant to drive.
Should I suck it up and get it delivered to the family home, or hope for the best with the address reroute? They had me enter the code for the building in my reroute request, but I’m not sure if that’s just to get in so they can knock on my door for my signature.
